The Zypad BR2000 can also be mounted onto a vehicle such as a truck or service car.

Physically robust to endure even the most extreme conditions, the Zypad BR2000 is compliant with IP67 environmental standards, which means the submersible metal enclosure ensures protection against damages due to water or dust. The unit, which weights under 2 lbs (800 g) including the battery, has a wide operating temperature between -40°C to +71°C and supports even military-grade standards so that users can be ensured of a reliable and durable product regardless of the situation.

The powerful Intel® Atom™ E6xx processor on the inside allows Eurotech to bring two Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, three RS-232/422 ports, VGA video and audio interfaces. Wireless communications capabilities and necessary antennas are fully integrated including 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth Class 1 and a high sensitivity GPS receiver. Data storage options ensure that large volumes of information can be retained and shared. All of this functionality can be run on Linux, Windows Embedded, or Windows 7 operating environments.

JoinPad’s Augmented Reality at Nab Show in Las Vegas with Eurotech’s Wearable Computer

Following in the footsteps of the popular Zypad WL1000 and Zypad WL1100 products, the new Zypad WL1500 delivers long battery life, even faster performances, cellular communication functionalities and wearing comfort while providing a high IP 54 protection rate.
The Zypad WL1500 is a perfect fit for users who need instant access to information while still maintaining mobility, such as in emergency search and rescue, medical, homeland security, law enforcement, logistics, maintenance and transportation.

The Zypad WL1500 series has extended communication capability: the user can maintain connectivity through a full range of communication standards such as cellular including 3G, CDMA and GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth. Eurotech presents a new wearable interactive tourist guide

Thanks to the collaboration between Eurotech and Mobile3D, now tourists can get the most pleasure from their journeys.
Eurotech’s Zypad, weighing only 290 grams and shaped to the contours of the body, can be worn comfortably on the user’s wrist, preventing the computer to fall down during usage or be lost. Its ergonomic design, coupled with its easy interface with touch-screen functions, allow the
user to operate hands free.
MobileGuide is a software platform, developed by Mobile3D and organized in two main components: a Content Management System and a specific Client for Zypad. MobileGuide can be contained in a miniSD memory card, which can be inserted into Zypad: with this simple action one can immediately use the multimedia guide and exploit its features. The functionalities of MobileGuide do not require previous training to the tourist and provide easy to follow navigation instructions by using pictures and arrows.
Thanks to localization technologies (GPS for outdoor location and active RFID or Zigbee for indoor locations) built-in into Zypad it is now possible to select points of interest or thematic tours closer to the user. Each created tour is enriched with audio, pictures, videos and 3D reconstruction that allow the tourist to follow it without effort. Moreover MobileGuide is able to
exploit 3D graphics to allow the tourist to open a “temporal window” on how the visited place looked like in the past or how it could look in the future, for instance due to planned renovations.

Eurotech and Glacier Computer Sign Master Distribution Agreement

Eurotech Developer earns Microsoft MVP Award

First remote healthcare project for the elderly

Amaro, 23 July 2008 – Eurotech technology makes the first remote healthcare applications possible. As part of the company’s commitment to wearable computing, Zypad, a wrist-worn computer, and the innovative ZyTag pendant, when worn by doctors and patients, communicate with each other to increase care efficiency and to exchange information with the regional database. Eurotech will be providing its hardware platforms to Selex Service Management SpA, a member of the Finmeccanica group, which will, in turn, provide them to the Abruzzo Region as a part of its own value-added services. The contract will see the products used in all healthcare districts in the Abruzzo region and will serve as a pilot project for extension throughout Italy in the near future. By installing an application on the local server in each district and giving Zypads to the various healthcare workers, an efficient remote healthcare network can be created that can simultaneously monitor and transfer patient data gathered on site. Patients are given a ZyTag that contains all the essential information from their patient files, such as their national healthcare card number for registration and recognition, their blood type, any allergies they may have, and all other information that can help the medical staff to provide the proper care. Using the ZigBee communication protocol, the ZyTag pendants communicate directly with the wearable computers within a range of about ten meters and transfer patient data directly to the healthcare worker’s wrist, where it appears on the Zypad’s display. This data is simultaneously stored on the Zypad, which can transfer it to the local network via Wi-Fi, as well as to national databases.

Eurotech Developers Earn Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 Certification
