Milan, Italy – May 08, 2013 – Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, today announces it has been named as one of four “Cool Vendors” in the 2013 IT/OT Alignment and Integration report* by leading industry analyst Gartner Inc. Gartner defines a “cool vendor” as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are innovative, impactful and intriguing.

According to the Gartner report recommendations, “Integration managers should look at cloud-based integration platforms supporting vendor neutral-technologies to optimize costs, accelerate time to deployment, and reduce vendor lock-in for integration of OT systems with enterprise applications.”

The result was CPU-111-10, which includes a 24-port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch for flexible data flow and tremendous connectivity bandwidth.

Costituito da nodi dotati di processori a 8-core e GPU Nvidia Tesla, il supercomputer Eurora utilizza un sistema di raffreddamento a liquido che consente di ottenere un’efficienza energetica elevata in termini di prestazioni in Gigaflop per watt consumati.

Cutting edge liquid cooling & GPU accelerator enable Italy’s Top Supercomputing Center to Leapfrog Current Green 500 No. 1 system

Amaro (Italy) – January 29, 2013 – Eurotech, a leading provider of embedded and supercomputing technologies, will present tomorrow the installation in CINECA of the Eurora supercomputer, which ranks as the world’s most energy efficient high-performance computing system based on measurements taken following the Green500 guidelines.

Eurora serves as the base technology for the development of the PRACE 2IP co-funded prototype, a project with the same name “Eurora” led by the CINECA supercomputing center in Italy. CINECA will deploy the Eurora prototype to advance research and discovery in the fields of computational sciences, including fundamental constituents of matter, condensed matter, astrophysics, the life sciences, and Earth sciences.

The Eurora supercomputer is accelerated by NVIDIA® Tesla® K20 GPU accelerators based on NVIDIA Kepler™.
